There was this boy at school, I thought he was your usual Mr. Popular. Naïve, assumed everything is to go his way or no way. Promiscuous, trifled through probably half of the female student body within the first semester. Provocative, probably had numerous maneuvers that guaranteed a ticket to any girls heart. I assumed he was also a list-maker, jotting down the name of all the cute girls at school and then categorizing them under “tits” and “ass“. My friends and I met up with his group, they’re all so hilarious. I had a formal, one on one, conversation with him. I anticipated a top notch flirt with all the right lines, I was wrong. We talked about the weather, world news, and our opinions between a tornado and earthquake - you would think I was bored to death but no, I was fascinated. Majority of the time we just spat out our opinions which clashed; it was interesting how he could keep up an argument with me. He didn’t give me the “Oh, okay calm down smarty pants,” he gave me his honest opinions and reasons why he upheld them. He made me reconsider and second guess myself, expanding my view on the world. I rarely find people like him, having conversations that didn’t revolve around childish criticism or a conversation that wasn’t a verbal application stating my birthday, favorite sports, or middle name. Our babbling was poorly constructed, considering they were off the top of our heads. It was amazing how he could comprehend some, if any, of my gibberish. I admire him, I really admire him. He is my cup of tea.
